About Kushal Kapoor

Born on 7 January 1991 in Lucknow, capital of the state Uttar Pradesh that is located in the northern part of India. Lucknow is a multicultural city known to flourish as cultural and artistic hub. It continues to be an important centre of politics, education, design, culture, tourism, music and poetry and I attribute this city’s quality for the rise of photography spark within me. I am fortunate that my father is a renowned photographer, my childhood was surrounded by his inspiration and creativity.

I feel I am comfortable to express my feelings through my photographs.  I usually observe silently and prefer to express them via visuals rather than speak about them. My philosophy says a photograph does not  require a written or spoken language, nor does it require a specific tone when one speaks, nor body language or facial expressions. A photograph can touch hearts in all kinds of audience with its inherent expressions in a two dimensional view because ‘a photograph can evoke strong emotions’.
